Aims and scope
The journal “Proceedings of the Forestry Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” publishes scientific and technical research works by scientists from Ukrainian universities and scientific institutions, as well as by foreign scientists and specialists in forestry and woodworking industries. The journal highlights research results, up-to-date experience and the implementation of scientific achievements in industry, as well as educational issues.
The journal's problems relate to its coverage of issues in the fields of forestry and landscape management, ecology and the environment, sustainable development, forestry technology and equipment, timber production and related industries, the economy, planning and management, and information technology and higher education.
The journal's editorial policy is geared towards publishing and discussing innovative research materials from different countries on a wide range of topics related to forest science, woodworking industries and related scientific fields.
The journal's editors are guided by the principles of scientism, objectivity, professionalism and supporting the most significant and innovative investigations. They also comply with publishing ethics.
The journal “Proceedings of the Forestry Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” supports young scientists, including senior students and postgraduates, in their research. Full texts of articles and expanded annotations in English are freely available on the journal's website.
The purpose of the journal “Proceedings of the Forestry Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” is to expand scientific publications and discuss ideas for modernising the forest industry, timber production, and related industries. The journal also aims to involve the most significant representatives of the local and international scientific and professional communities.
The tasks of the journal:
- publication of scientific results about the expansion and modernisation of research in the field of forestry, timber production and related areas, and implementation of innovations in the industry;
- expanding partnerships with foreign scientific and publishing organisations;
- improving the culture of reviewing and annotating publishing materials;
- observing editorial ethics;
- assisting the development of interdisciplinary research in forestry, woodworking technologies and related areas;
- ensuring a platform for scientific communication, idea-sharing and discussion between scientists, specialists and industry representatives;
- supporting young researchers and postgraduate students in publishing their scientific results;
- increasing the quality of reliable scientific publications by implementing clear acceptance and review procedures;
- popularising modern scientific achievements and up-to-date experience in forestry and woodworking technologies;
- promoting the integration of local science into the worldwide scientific environment;
- providing access to scientific information for a wide range of researchers and specialists;
- increasing the visibility and citations of published work in national and international databases;
- assisting in the implementation of scientific achievements in education and practice.
This is a free edition of the journal. The editorial board makes the decision about acceptance according to the reviewing statute. The editorial board reserves the right to make editorial changes to submitted materials, shorten them or reject manuscripts that do not correspond to the collection's topic or are improperly formatted, while carefully observing the rules of editorial ethics. Manuscripts rejected by the editorial board will not be reviewed or returned to the authors. Reprinting of materials published in the collection by other publications is not permitted. By submitting an article to the editorial board, the author consents to its publication in the collection Scientific Works of the Forestry Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, its placement on the collection's website, and the transfer of the article's text to third parties to enable citation of the publication and increase the author's and the collection's citation index.
